Product Review - Koji Eyelashes Dolly Wink series

Don't be alarmed that's just my eye dressed with the luscious Koji Lashes from the Dolly wink series. I purchased these lashes from http://www.beautifulmysterieux.com/ which is a Brisbane, Australia based vendor/shop run by 3 lovely ladies...(or is it 2? Sorry girlies!) and I have to say I am very happy with the sevice thus far. Ok I'm cheating, I'm just helping to promote these ladies and their website (since I know them) because I think that it deserves more recognition. Even though they have just started I just want to get the word out there that there are now easier ways to get super cute items and famous products especially when Brisbane lacks in having these kind of products (or I'm just not looking hard enough) accessible to everyone.

Anyway the first time that I received the Koji Lashes I was quite intimidated by the length of the lashes as they are probably twice the size of my normal ones (darn crappy genes) and I also had trouble choose whether I wanted

In the end I chose No.2 just because it seemed a little more natural than No.1 even though they are both quite dramatic when worn. I also picked up No.5 which were bottom lashes which looked very very natural and if you're like me and hate applying mascara to your bottom lashes than these are the lashes for you.

Now these were my first bottom lashes I have ever purchased so I was having a little trouble trying to put these on at first because I didn't know which way was the right way to glue them but after awhile I got the hang of it and placed them somewhat perfectly to my bottom lashes and I have to say that I will be wearing bottom lashes more often. Anyway these eyelashes are very delicate so I'd suggest taking care of these eyelashes and not pull on the bands since they are glued on a clear band and not a full black band that you usually see with cheaper ones. One wrong move and you could have just wasted a few dollars on just one lash.

Overall I am very happy with this purchase as I am able to reuse these for quite awhile and it has a very alluring effect on the eyes (ok now i'm just spitting words out haha). 

My next review will be on the geo lenses or maybe on sheercover range...who knows?! It's a secret! :O

What to turn this blog into~

Sooooo, as the title says... I don't know what to focus my blog on. Should it be based around music? Beauty? health? rantings?!?!?!

To pick one one specific topic for me to write on... it's quite tough. I'm usually the kind of girl who would be into one thing...get bored of it in a week or two and then jump onto the next best thing for me. I've never been able to find what I really like or what to focus on in life or just general decisions.

I could turn this blog into a beauty product review but then again there are plenty of other blogs and youtube videos about them. Honestly what hasn't been mention on the interwebs already? Every topic that you can think of has probably been covered. Oh screw it this can be an all you can read buffet..where there will be many topics which I will be covering from Cooking to general rants to make-up product reviews. So I hope you have a big appetite and get ready to slurp down all the information in this blog.

Personality vs Looks and music (lol)

I'm a big 2NE1 fan and I honestly can't wait for their comeback in 7 days time but I was reading an article on them this morning about their Album cover and their concept on www.allkpop.com. Some of the people (so called ANTI's...which I honestly don't know why they even exist because it is stupid to fight over who is better and whatnot) said that the cover looks so plain and boring. Why is it that looks are so important these days? Isn't the music industry about talent and songs that mean something? Wait I forgot it revolves around money and using their artists as sex symbols. Every mainstream song that you listen to (I'm exaggerating but whatever) either revolves around drinking, sex, hooking up with other people or just plain nonsense. Is this the way for kids in the next generation to grow up? It just feels like some of the music industries out there are only picking up people because of their looks over their talents. Take the 2008 Beijing Olympics for example...they put a competition to find a young talented kid who can sing for the opening ceremony... well they found her but decided she wasn't 'cute' enough so they just took some random "cute" girl and made her lip sync to the song. What the hell was up with that. 

Anyway back to the Korean music scene, I honestly think 2ne1 and all artists from YGEntertainment are absolutely talented and the great thing about it is that the founder of the company doesn't care about looks unlike some other companies whose main focus is on the looks and how much they can promote them...AND THEY CAN DANCE! Not the body rolls or butt dances but DANCE. Don't get me wrong there are some fabulous artists outside of YG such as BoA (although the poor girl has been overworked) and... I can't name anymore of them at the moment (brain fart lol). I just think the whole selling sex thing is overrated, hell you have little kids singing along to these kind of songs now such as "Dirty Picture" and...well anything with Ke$ha is pretty bad..."Take your shirt off" T-pain...He really needs to start singing proper songs, his voice is amazing when he sings but when it comes to his famous autotuned songs its always about...Also recent Usher songs... I grew up listening to this guy but lately it's lost its flair and its too mainstream now..and honestly it's all about beats now.

I remember during high school a person had asked me a question whether I prefer looks or personality in the opposite sex. My exact answer was that I'd definitely prefer the personality over looks. He had told me after I gave him my answer that I was the first out of the few he asked to choose personality over looks which gave me quite a shock to be honest. I mean hey if you have the brains and the beauty you're good to go...but as the saying goes beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I also have my girlfriends regularly ask me if a certain guy is hot or cute...I just say...honey you're asking the wrong person cause I honestly don't care or I can't judge go ask someone else. 

Anyway everyone is growing older and that means the skins start to droop and everyone starts to change. What else do you have to fall back on if your looks are about to change? A persons looks can change but a person's personality will not.

So i'm just gonna sum it up here and... I don't remember what I typed haha. So I'm just going to say BRING BACK THE MUSIC OF THE 90's and early 00's.

Personality > Looks

Rawrpost #1

So I was reading a friends blog and it inspired me to do my own. He said that what does it mean to start anew?....or something along those lines. 


Is it "To make ourselves, set forth again? 
To make ourselves feel better of our past? 
To really change for the better?"


In my honest opinion, it's a little bit of everything. 


Why everything? I'll tell you why. I have been asking myself this for..lets say 14 years now and I didn't know how to let go from my past until recently. I blamed everything on everyone else and pretty much shut myself away. I used to be the little miss goodie two shoes. I was nice to everybody even though I was quite shy (still am), thought everybody were my friends, thought everything grew flowers and sparkles but year after year everything would just crumble and I just didn't know what to do. In reality people rejected me because I was one of the few asians in the school (primary school), I was short, not attractive,chubby, loud, too tomboyish and someone easy to use. I was too gullible for my own liking. 


I didn't want to believe that reality and let myself be used left right and center. All I wanted people to know was that I was always going to be there whenever they needed me...cause I was someone who they could depend on...but I learnt that greed and popularity will always get the better of people. After experiencing high school I've become so bitter that I just didn't care and took it out on the close friends that I had. It's quite painful remembering these kinds of memories but in the end...you just have to let it go and move on. 


Ok so....your past is going to creep up on you again someday but by the time that it does you've got to ask yourself...Is it worth worrying about? and is it worth it for those thoughts to be interfering with your current situation? No and No. I say Forgive the past...then forget it. Time to start anew. 


So the answers to my friends questions would be "yes, yes and yes"
Without a positive/optimistic mind, you're bound to do something stupid sooner than later and regret it afterwards. Everyone has been in that situation and for certain people it takes longer for them to process that (*raises hand*). Having a positive outlook on life gives you the opportunity to dream big things even if it's something  like wanting to start a family being a housewife so you can pamper your spouse after a long hard day of work...(Ok I know that sounds a little far-fetched specially when its really rare to hear cases like that now days...but hell I'd totally do that lol) or wanting to be a superstar or wanting to start a business. Having that positive outlook gives you the willpower to do anything. You just have to keep going and going until you reach what you've longed for..because it's going to happen. 


Life is just a big maze, there are dead ends and there's your desired destination. If you keep on hitting dead ends don't be discouraged, the path of your destination is just around the corner. 


Yeah I just made that up, sounded corny didn't it. Oh well!


I think that's enough for the night...need to rest my poor left hand which has been abused all week thanks to a vegetable peeler tearing my middle nail and slamming the door on my thumb. I'm so stupid sometimes...haha
